But
those who hope
in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings
like eagles;
they will run

Heart Words
I was asking God why is it that believers at certain
points in their lives start to doubt His existence or
presence in their lives. And the Holy Spirit led me to
Isaiah 40:27-31. The passage starts with the
question similar to what I was asking. Why do you
say, O Jacob, and complain, O
Israel, "My way is hidden from the LORD; my cause is disregarded by my God –
Isaiah 40:27"? The Jacob or
Israel referred to are God’s covenant people. The same
people the Psalmist declared, “He will not let your
foot slip-- he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over
Israel will neither slumber nor sleep – Psalm 121:3-4.”
How is it possible that they would feel or think that
God does not care about them?
Isaiah 40:28
goes on to say: Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends
of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his
understanding no one can fathom. Not doubting God’s
presence in our lives starts with the understanding of
how great and mighty our God is.
