Heart Words
In recent times, God has been ministering to me about
reaching out. I have been guilty of staying within the
confines of the four walls of my church and my home.
Matthew
9:35
says: Jesus went through all the towns and villages,
teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of
the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.
You know, Jesus went... He did not stay in his home or
hometown hoping that the people will come to him. In
fact, he was not able to do a whole lot in his own
hometown because of the people’s unbelief. It was
recorded many times in the gospels, “Jesus went...” As
He went, people came to him and He ministered to them.
The point was that He took the first step of going out
to them. Matthew
9:35
summarized His ministry to the people – teaching,
preaching and healing.
One
of Jesus’ last earthly command to His disciples was,
“Go into all the world and preach the good news to all
creation – Mark
16:15.” And it was
recorded in Mark 15:20: Then the disciples went
out and preached everywhere, and the Lord
worked with them and confirmed his word by the
signs that accompanied it.
